We are eagerly preparing for our 2008 Annual Awards and Scholarship dinner, to be held at the Nyack Seaport Center for Cultural Events on June 11, 2008. This year, RBWN is delighted to honor three extraordinary women:
Barbara Boggan, Provident Bank – RBWN Woman of the Year Amy Stern, United Hospice of Rockland – RBWN Community Service Woman of the Year Beth Blecker, Eastern Planning, Inc. – RBWN Service Award
At the dinner we will also present a donation to United Hospice of Rockland and award scholarships to students from Clarkstown North High School, Spring Valley High School, and Green Meadow Waldorf School.
Please help us recognize the important work of all of our recipients either through sponsorship opportunities or by advertising in the Dinner Ad Journal. As a sponsor or advertiser, you will be prominently featured in promotional materials distributed to a targeted market of business owners and professionals throughout Rockland County. At the same time, you will be supporting RBWN, one of Rockland County’s oldest networking groups, and our scholarship fund, which has distributed thousands of dollars in scholarships to people and charities in Rockland County.
RBWN supports and empowers women by providing networking and educational opportunities. Since 1979, RBWN has been privileged to participate in the growth of Rockland County’s professional women. More than a decade ago, RBWN established a scholarship fund to support students, selected from local high schools on a rotating basis, with college scholarships; to offer our members and others professional development scholarships for important programs such as Leadership Rockland; and to support a chosen charitable organization.
Please consider advertising in our Awards Journal. The deadline is May 22, 2008. Thank you for supporting RBWN, our honorees, and our scholarship winners.
Barbara S. Boggan, Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Services at Provident Bank is a member of the RBWN Board of Directors and is involved in numerous community activities including the New City Chamber of Commerce, the Rockland County Builders and Remodelers Association, Rockland County Girl Scouts, and Leadership Rockland. We honor her commitment to the community and RBWN as our 2008 Woman of the Year.
